iTPA Member Spotlight: Todd Feinkind, CTPS
Todd Feinkind, CTPS Todd Feinkind is a NYS licensed Physical Therapist. He received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from State University of New York at Buffalo in 2008. Since graduating, he has focused his work in out-patient orthopedics with a focus in sport rehabilitation. Todd has worked with patients with sports and non-sports related injuries, chronic and acute, as well as post-surgical and non-surgical ailments, ranging from elite athletes to office workers and weekend warriors. Todd was proud to have been the Physical Therapist for the Central Park Track Club from 2014-2018, in addition to treating MMA fighters, USS swimmers, Competitive Tennis Athletes, Dancers, and Olympic Runners. Todd emphasizes his treatments with manual techniques to decrease muscle tension and pain; and strengthening exercises to improve muscle activation and performance. In addition, he teaches and harps on proper posture, exercise technique and quality of movement. Todd is a newly certified iTPA Certified Tennis Performance Specialist (CTPS), as well as a Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) certified instructor. In addition, he is a Rocktape provider, a form of Kinesio Taping with certification in Functional Movement Training (FMT). Todd utilizes Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) allowing him to assess movement patterns to find the root cause of symptoms and dysfunctions, which he uses to optimize patient’s functional performance and prevention of injury. Todd is also certified in Active Release Technique (ART) and Blood Flow Restriction (BFR). When Todd is not at work, he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling and woodworking. |
