Saif Ali,TPT
Saif hails from a background of world class tennis players and coaches in India. His uncle, Akhtar Ali, was the Davis Cup coach for India for 25 years and his cousin Zeeshan Ali is the current Indian Davis Cup coach. Saif was coached by his uncle and father and was consistently the top ranked junior in his state and ranked among the top 5 juniors in India. After finishing high school, Saif spent time living and training in Florida with multiple doubles Grand Slam winner Leander Paes formerly ranked number one in the World in doubles (Leander was coached by Saif’s father during his formative years). During this time Saif competed in various international junior world ranking tournaments and also on the ITF Satellite Circuit. Saif then decided to turn to College Tennis where he played No.2 singles and doubles for the University of New Orleans. After finishing college, Saif continued to play on the professional circuit for a couple of more years before he turned to coaching. After this he moved to Dubai a few years ago where he trained some of the top juniors in the Middle East. During this time Saif was also the director of Tennis at the Anantara Resort and Spa which is one of the top resorts and holiday destinations in the Asia. Saif is PTR certified with a professional rating and ITPA (International Tennis Performance Association) certified with a TPT (Tennis Performance Trainer) designation.
