Pierre Gerard, TPT

Pierre is a certified tennis coach with both the United States Professional Tennis Registry (USPTR) and the French Tennis Federation (FFT). He is also an International ITF Junior coach certified by the Global Tennis Coach Association (GPTCA). He has been working in the tennis industry for the past ten years. He has extra education on the biomechanics applied to tennis to have a clear understanding of the mechanisms involved in shot production.

Pierre specializes in ten & under specific training programs where he enjoys contributing to the development of his players through a 360 degrees approach. He learnt and experienced different national youth 10 & under programs from France (Galaxie Tennis), United Kingdom (Miss Hits), Australia (Hot Shots) and USA (Net generation) where he picked up the best practices of each program. He also integrated into his training some fundamental and essential athletic development skills through Agility, Balance, Coordination, Speed and Strength drills.

Coach Pierre is also able to provide a tailored competitive training program for players who want to get an efficient edge on tactical, technical, mental or physical aspects of their game. Upon request.

iTPA TPT knowledge
Now I am able to better structure my approach regarding the physical specificity and approach of tennis. Learning how to perform accurately those practical physical drills (flexibility, movement, resistance, injury prevention) will not only help me to deliver a higher level of training to my students but also help them to prevent injuries. This knowledge is so important.
