This course, designed for junior tennis player parents, provides the parent with the basic information needed to be able to help the young athlete progress throughout the junior tennis career and prepare him/her for a successful high school, collegiate or professional career by improving performance and reducing the chance of injuries.  It is highly encouraged that every competitive junior player work with a TPT and CTPS Certified coach/trainer. This course provides parents with an intro to injury prevention for tennis, basic exercises, sample programs and advice that you can use to help your young player limit the likelihood of injury and improve performance. This course provides a general overview of some of the most important aspects of injury prevention for tennis. The first few chapters of the Workbook focus on types of injuries common in tennis and other information important to parents including heat-related problems. Next, a series of exercises that can be performed at home are covered with descriptions and photos (video also demonstrates), and the final chapter provides sample programs for how to best structure these injury prevention programs for the athlete based on age and/or stage of development. The DVD is over 1 hour, and the Workbook is 85 pages.

This educational course involves over 1 hour of practical video instruction showing detailed injury prevention exercises and tutorials, in addition to a webpage link to download the 85-page color Workbook PDF.
