Kristofer Martin, PTR, ITF, TPT
Kristofer is a highly motivated and experienced professional tennis coach, mentor and business consultant with a great degree of versatility and an extraordinary work ethic with over 20 years’ experience in the field both locally and internationally. Kristofer played NCAA Division I tennis at Bethune-Cookman University in Daytona Beach, Florida where he received yearly accolades from the MEAC, ITA, and B-CU, and the B-CU athletic department for athletic and academic excellence. He graduated summa cum laude earning two bachelor’s degrees; Accounting, and Management Information Systems. In addition, he also holds the USTA Sport Science certificate. He is a proud member of the PTR, the iTPA, and Tennis Jamaica (the governing body of tennis in Jamaica) where he served as Treasurer on the Executive Board. He currently has his own tennis program where he designs and develops training packages for players of all ages and abilities. As a qualified tennis and business professional, Kristofer avidly enjoys engaging with subject matter experts, researching leading practices to gain insights and understanding of major topics and trends globally. He is also an advocate for serving his communities through pro-bono and non-profit organizations. Kristofer passionately believes that understanding the application of sports science has a positive impact on the development of young athletes enabling them to improve their performance and/or play the sport throughout their lifetime. He believes that every coach should first gain the knowledge to train their juniors to become good athletes, so they can develop a solid foundation and excel in their sport. And a great place to start gaining that knowledge and certification is the iTPA. His lifelong mantra is to think big, keep an open mind, and serve to the best of your abilities.
