Arsya Wisyesa Putra Sjarifuddin, TPT, CTPS

I come from a nation without a strong tennis tradition, but I was fortunate to be nurtured in the sport from an early age by a coach who emphasized detail and science—Oom Philip Jogasuria. From the start, my training went beyond technique. I was taught to understand the why behind every movement, every drill, and every aspect of preparation. This foundation shaped not only how I trained, but how I thought about the sport itself.

As I developed, I gravitated toward tennis-specific, science-based programs such as those created by Dr. Mark Kovacs and the International Tennis Performance Association (iTPA). These resources gave structure and depth to my training, further igniting my interest in the mechanics of human performance in tennis. Once I met the minimum age requirement, I pursued and earned my TPT certification through the iTPA on October 17, 2024. This was not just a personal milestone—it was a reflection of my commitment to continuous learning and excellence in the sport.

While I remain committed to growing as a player, my motivation extends beyond my own development. I hope to mentor my younger siblings and other aspiring players using the same science-based, structured approach that I was lucky to receive. Ultimately, my goal is to contribute meaningfully to the tennis landscape in Indonesia—by sharing knowledge, improving coaching standards, and helping to build a stronger foundation for future generations.

Tennis has taught me discipline, curiosity, and resilience. With every step I take—on and off the court—I carry a deep sense of responsibility to give back to the game that has given me so much.
