CTPS is considered the Gold Standard in the Tennis Fitness Industry - every strength & conditioning coach, athletic trainer, personal trainer, physical therapist, medical doctor, chiropractor, healthcare providers or other specialists working with tennis players should obtain. This certification is essential for any professional working with tennis athletes of all levels.

100% online exam (3 hours given to take) that can be taken from ANY country as long as you have a computer and internet connection. Yearly dues of $89 charged automatically to your credit card each year; plus $49 re-certification required every 2 years along with 200 CPE credits. CTPS focuses on in-depth, evidence-based tennis-specific training research provided in a practical manner which builds your knowledge and skills when working with tennis athletes of all ages and levels. You will learn comprehensive tennis-specific sport science information with hundreds of assessments, drills & exercises to improve performance and reduce injuries in the tennis athlete. The program educates you in 20 areas of competencies including an extensive examination to ensure mastery of the tennis-specific training information. All materials were either written or reviewed by leading sports medicine or sports science experts.

Pre-Requisites:
  • Must be > 18 years old
  • Have a CPR, First Aid or AED Certification (only 1 is required,not all 3). A copy of your current card is required (either by email or mail) by the time you take the exam. Even if you pass the exam, you won't be granted CTPS status until you have sent this to us.
  • Have a recognized certification and/or degree in any of the following fields: Personal Training, Strength & Conditioning, Physical Therapy, Athletic Training, Physical Training, Chiropractor, Medical Doctor, Massage Therapy, Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Physiology, Biomechanics, Psychology,  Osteopathy, Nutrition or Tennis Coaching (or accredited by CSCS, NASM, ACSM, PT, ATC, ACE, ISSA, etc.) OR
  • Have already obtained TPT certification
  • If you do NOT have any of the above degrees, certifications or already have obtained TPT, please register for TPT first and then work your way up to CTPS.
